At Cheaper Diesel Spares Australia, we offer services to have your existing pre common rail injectors and pumps rebuilt at a very reasonable price and turn around. We can also organize to get your common rail pumps and injectors done at one of our preferred pump rooms.
Why rebuild injectors and pumps?
Rebuilding of pre common rail injectors and pumps is because of two main factors;
Cost: it is much cheaper to rebuild your existing unit than buying a new unit / set (for pre common rail units)
Availability: in most cases the pre common rail units are getting older and harder to source new and even exchange. In some circumstances, rebuilding your old unit will have you back up and running after you think all is lost and you just can’t find your part any more.
What does rebuild mean and how does the process work?
Ideally, we would love to have all old rebuilt units on the shelf and ready to sell and get your old unit back on exchange, however this is not always the case so we try to keep the process as quick as possible to get your vehicle on the road as soon as we can.
Simply send us some details of your pump, injectors or vehicle so we can firstly assess if your item can be rebuilt (unfortunately some units are non-serviceable). From there, we can issue an approximate quote (low to high price) dependent upon condition of your old unit and what parts / labour will be required.
Please note pre common rail rebuilt parts have a 6 month warranty.
Process:
- Inspect / order parts – we only use genuine parts to repair your pumps or injectors
- Strip down pump / injectors
- Ultra-sonic clean all working parts. In some cases we will wet abrasive blast the body / casing
- Rebuild old unit by qualified technicians
- Test unit
- Calibrate
- Re-test
- Ship out or collect your refurbished unit
