Guide to Common Rail Injector Issues
Diagnosing injector issues can be difficult however CDSA can give you some tips. We will be discussing common problems and what may cause them. Please note however, it is always best to seek professional advice and talk to your mechanic.
Is your vehicle displaying signs of poor performance, having idling problems (vibration) or combustion noise (diesel knock)?
Symptoms of this may be thermal overload, injection bore burnt out and/or combustion residue (coking on tip of nossle).
Possible causes may be; diesel tuning, engine oil in intake system, incorrect or non-approved additives in fuel, biodiesel or oil thinning.
