PRE FILTER KITS AND FUEL SYSTEM CONTAMINATION
Diesel fuel injection systems failures may be cause of contamination or water in the system. Pre filter kits are designed to remove majority of water and particle contamination.
If your vehicle displays the following issues, you may have a contamination issue and should speak to your local diesel specialist: loss of power, blows excessive smoke, shudders and hard to start. You can also take a small fuel sample and let sit overnight. If there is water in the system, it will separate and sit at the bottom.
Water in a diesel fuel system can cause metal parts to rust, potentially effecting your pump, rail, injectors and pipes. When pushed through the system at high pressure this will cause wear and damage. Pre filter kits act as a secondary defense, further filtering water and contaminants.
