Nissan Navara NP23 YD23 Suction Control Valve (SCV)

We frequently receive inquiries from mechanics and the general public regarding the purchase of a suction control valve (SCV) for the 2015 – 2024 Nissan Navara 2.3L D23 NP300 model.

The Nissan Navara D23 NP300 is equipped with a 2.3L YS23DDT engine (originally produced by Renault) and uses a Continental/VDO fuel system. The vehicle is fitted with a Siemens/VDO high-pressure fuel pump, which corresponds to the following part numbers:

Part Numbers: A2C8058470080 / A2C80584700

OEM Part Numbers: 16700-00Q2C, 1670000Q2C, 167001895R, 167004800R, 167008683R, 95518968

Unfortunately, the suction control valve for this specific pump cannot be purchased separately. Please read on for more details.

We have tried various methods to identify the correct suction control valve (SCV) fitted to this pump:

1. 1. Physical Inspection: Initially, we attempted to identify the SCV by physically inspecting it on the pump. As shown in the image below, the SCV is housed under a black cover. Upon removal of this cover, the SCV is fully exposed and can be taken out for closer examination. However, the SCV has no identifiable part numbers or markings, and it appears to be unique to this pump, nor found on other Siemens/VDO high-pressure pumps.

1. Parts Diagram Review: We reviewed the Nissan and Renault exploded parts diagrams to find a part number for the SCV. Unfortunately, as shown in the diagram, no separate part number is provided for the SCV unit—only a number for the entire pump.
2. Contacting Siemens/VDO: We reached out to Siemens/VDO directly to request a part number for the SCV. However, they were unable to provide a part number or supply the unit itself.
3. Supplier and Dealer Inquiries: We also contacted our trusted suppliers, both in Australia and overseas, as well as Nissan and Renault dealer service centers, but no one could provide the part number or the SCV itself. At this time, no aftermarket SCV unit is available for this pump.

Unfortunately, if you own a Nissan Navara D23 NP300 and need a suction control valve for the fuel pump, your only option is to purchase an entirely new pump. While we regret having to share this news with our customers, this situation is beyond our control.
